Originally designed for the oil and space industry, nano ceramic coating technology has expanded quickly into the automotive industry because of how effective it is at protecting your automobile’s paint from life’s daily hazards.
What is Autotriz Nano Ceramic Coating? The easiest way to understand ceramic coating is to think of it as a second layer of skin, or an extra layer of protection over your car’s clear coat.
Autotriz’s ceramic coating utilizes nanotechnology, meaning, tiny particles form a very fine, thin layer completely invisible to the eye. Because these particles are so small, when applied to a surface, they seal all its pores, making the surface hydrophobic (water-repellent), but also resistant to UV light, scratches, chemicals, extreme heat, and even graffiti. This ceramic layer is completely transparent.
The ceramic coating forms a semi-permanent bond with the vehicle’s surface, resulting in a surface layer that will not wash away under cleaning or rain, or break down over a short period of time. In fact, it usually lasts for years.
Nano ceramic coatings easily repel dirt and water, which makes them simple to clean. Their hardness helps to prevent the swirl marks and marring that can result from washing.
A distinct feature of a ceramic coating is that it is hydrophobic. When your car is ceramic coated, water will bead up and roll off of the surface along with most dirt, grime, and mud, because none of it will be able to bond to your vehicle’s paint.

But always remember, ceramic coating doesn’t make your vehicle bulletproof!
Nano ceramic coating does not stop rock chips, water spots, dings, or dents, nor does it replace proper car care or maintenance. Nor does it last forever!
Even after your vehicle is treated with ceramic coating, you still need to dust, wash, and remove bird droppings. The difference is that maintaining your paint will now require less elbow grease and less time.
